Expansion and Molding of Expandable Polystyrene resin
Versa-Tech, Inc uses a computerized state-of-the-art expander to pre-expand
the EPS resin
needed to mold EPS billet.
Vera-Tech, Inc block molds the pre-expanded polystyrene into 18 foot tall billets.
The mold operation produces billets in a broad range of densities and in accordance to
material standards established by the company or outside regulatory agencies.

Hot-wire Cutting
A hot-wire cutting process is used to produce parts in both fabricated sheets and more
complex profile shapes.
Standard tolerance for EPS parts is +/- .062; however, the production group is able to fabricate
parts to much tigher tolerance ranges.

Profile or Contour Parts
A highly skilled and experienced technical staff produce complex shapres using Computer
Assisted Drafting and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM)
CAD drawings are prepared using customer samples, drawings, or specifications: from these
CAD drawings the parts are hot-wire cut on the profile cutter through a Computer Assisted
Manufacturing (CAM) system.
